"I’m a portrait photographer who still loves to create my work with variety of film cameras, but TriX 400 is my go to film for everything! I love the traditional grain structure and how it responds to my choice rating it at 160 ISO. I process all my own film, scan, and print in house. So I’m in full control of my photographs from the time I open the film packaging to final photograph on paper.
My collection of photographs includes mostly portrait work made with Hasselblad 500cm, Mamiya RZ67 & 645AFD - I also do an occasional portrait work on 35mm with Nikon F100. My other passion seems to be photographing ceilings of buildings - it’s amazing what’s above our heads. My go to cameras for the ceiling work are Mamiya 6 and Nikon F100." - Pete

"I started my analog photography journey when I stumbled across a dusty old 35mm point and shoot in my family’s attic. I didn’t expect much from my first set of photos, but when I got my scans back, I was hooked. The photos weren’t great, or even good, but they had a certain feeling of authenticity that I never got from the images I took on my phone or digital camera. Fast forward to now, a few cameras and thousands of exposures later, and analog photography has become an incredibly important part of my life. I've been able to capture many of my favorite memories on film, and I am excited to continue taking film photos for years to come." - Warren

"Film photography has become a part of my daily life; I enjoy documenting my surroundings, no matter where I am, or what subject is in front of me. I’m the general manager of a technology company, and in my free time, I do my best to capture the rest of my life on film, whenever I can." - Steven
Michael @lochblick is a photographer from Austria. Images shot on #400tx.
"I studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and felt always attracted by photography. To me, photography is a painting tool - I create landscape paintings with a camera... All standards for an image like composition, contrast, subject, etc. apply in both disciplines. I mean, they are not so different, painting and photography are both tools for the same purpose: The creation of picture.
Since Romanticism, the European forest is a romantic symbol for nature to us and was mystified as a place of longing and self-experience. But it wasn’t always like that. In the Middle Ages the wood was a zone of danger, outlaws and predators. And even much earlier, at the time of the Roman Empire, the forests in the north spread fear and terror amongst the legionnaires. Plinius, a roman author, wrote in mysterious manner: „Forests cover the whole of Germania and combine the cold with the dark (…)“ - Michael
